What Is The Society of Young Magicians?

The Society of Young Magicians (S.Y.M.) sponsored by the Society of American Magicians, is a world-wide organization for youth, ages 7 through 17 who have an interest in magic. The S.Y.M. promotes magic as a wholesome hobby. Members gain greater self-confidence, increase reading skills, develop better coordination, as well as valuable life-long public speaking and communication skills.

- Free Newsletter Subscription - The Magic SYMbol, the monthly magic publication for members of the SYM is packed with news, tricks, member's photos, and performance tips.

Magic is a wholesome hobby, encouraging young people to build character and develop personal greatness.

Boys and girls seldom get into trouble when they're involved in an activity that gives them confidence in their own abilities, a feeling of self worth, and sense of belonging.

Adult supervision and instruction will be provided by qualifying members of the Society of American Magicians, one of the most prestigious world-wide organizations of its kind.

Details:
The Philadelphia SYM meets twice a month at the Warminster Recreation Center (WREC) in Warminster, PA, on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. We meet from 7:00 PM until 8:15 PM. The WREC is located at 1101 Little Lane in Warminster right off or Old York Road Route 263.

Directions:
Directions can best be obtained by using mapquest.com and entering your home address and the address for the WREC center listed above.

From Street Road and York Rd North:
- Travel north on route 263 Old York Road
- When you see a K-Mart on your right, turn left onto Tollhouse Road. If you pass a 7-11 you have gone too far.
- Travel down on Tollhouse Road till you get to Barness. Make a right onto Barness
- Travel down about a half a mile and make a left onto Little Lane
- The WREC center will be on your left. It is an old school that was converted into a recreation center.

From Bristol Road and York Rd South:
- Travel South on York Rd 263
- When you see a 7-11 on your left, turn right onto Tollhouse Road. If you pass a K-Mart you have gone too far.
- Travel down on Tollhouse Road till you get to Barness. Make a right onto Barness
- Travel down about a half a mile and make a left onto Little Lane
- The WREC center will be on your left. It is an old school that was converted into a recreation center.
